The ensemble is based in The Netherlands and it's formed by young artists who met as students in Early Music Department of The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Their programs include works by composers dating from the Seventeenth and Eighteenth centuries.
They perform on replicas of surviving historical instruments. Flute, recorder, bassoon, harpsichord, viola da gamba and cello are instruments of a very diverse nature. The specific -obbligato- compositions for this combination display the imagination of the composers in the variety of colors and textures, and the players' craftmanship to speak, each with a very different voice, the same language.
Audiences are given the opportunity to experience one of the core musical ideas of instrumental music in the turn of the Eighteenth century: unevenness and imagination within careful structure.
